The 2020-21 CoSIDA Professional Development and Continuing Education Webinar Series is presented by Capital One. This page will be updated throughout the year as more programming is added.

This year, the former Continuing Education and Convention Programming committees have been combined into one committee — the Professional Development Committee.

CoSIDA offers several different types of programming that may be added to throughout the year as we respond to the needs of our membership. Click on each type of programming to be directed to more information about the series.

Continued education focuses on embracing what it means to be a lifelong learner. It's about learning, responding and adapting, to growing trends and new practices that can be incorporated in our daily professional lives, expanding our knowledge of media relations, strategic and crisis communications, writing and editing, digital toolkits, and much more.

New this year, you'll be given the opportunity to submit questions in advance during registration for webinars. Following each webinar, you'll have the chance to complete a brief survey. Use these opportunities to help us shape future educational opportunities. All sessions will be available to members to watch on-demand, typically within a few hours of the live presentation, and many will be available in audio format through most popular podcasting platforms. Selected sessions may be available to watch via YouTube.

About: June Stewart Leadership Series

CoSIDA debuted the June Stewart Leadership Series in the Fall of 2019 as part of our year-round professional development and continuing education program for our members. This special June Stewart Series showcases noted speakers and experts who will address CoSIDA members on timely communications and leadership topics and issues. Speakers will include those in intercollegiate administration and outside college athletics. The series was created in honor of the late June Stewart who served as CoSIDA's first female president during the 1990-91 academic year. Stewart was a longtime Vanderbilt University administrator and a pioneer for women in college athletics.

The series was created in honor of Stewart's great leadership, her love and commitment to the profession and her legacy in giving back to CoSIDA. Designed exclusively for CoSIDA members, this series of webinars and podcasts will offer perspectives on leadership and perspectives on managing and directing collegiate athletic communications.
