Advocacy Committee

The Advocacy Committee is charged with reviewing ongoing association advocacy strategies and developing additional programs which promote the values of the organization and profession both on campuses and across the landscape of college athletics. In addition, the committee will develop advocacy leadership training resources for its members. The committee makeup will include current and past leaders and a broad representation that includes all levels of membership.

The committee assists with the coordination of membership compensation, career satisfaction and staffing surveys.

The Membership Recognition Committee merged with the Advocacy Committee prior to 2025-26. This subgroup supports the planning of Membership Appreciation Week.

Requirements to be on the committee:

• Attend and participate in monthly zoom calls (1 hour)
• Assist with special projects
• Contribute to monthly content
