Nathan Pearsall

Nathan Pearsall enters his eighth season as Sports Information Director for the Alaska Nanooks in 2026-27, after joining the department in September 2019. He oversees media relations, statistical operations, digital content and social media for 10 NCAA programs, including Division I hockey and nine Division II teams. Pearsall serves as the primary writer and content coordinator for AlaskaNanooks.com and works closely with media, marketing, community engagement and ticketing to elevate the Nanooks’ profile.
Since arriving in Fairbanks, Pearsall has helped drive significant growth in Nanook Athletics’ digital and broadcast presence. He has expanded the Alaska Nanooks YouTube platform, helped develop video replay systems for volleyball and basketball, and established the department’s first full-time rifle streaming operation. He has also played a key role in hockey feature content and the revitalization of the Nanook Hall of Fame following its COVID-related hiatus.
Pearsall is an active member of College Sports Communicators and has taken on increasing leadership responsibilities within NCAA Division II. During the 2025 volleyball season, he served as the West Region DII coordinator for Regional and All-American voting. He previously chaired the D2CSC West Region Women’s Basketball Committee, earning a national vote, and in 2026 was nominated and voted by his peers to serve as the NCAA Division II West Region Representative for the D2SIDA Board/CSC Committee.
A native of Bellingham, Wash., Pearsall began his career at Saint Martin’s University, where he played one season of baseball and later served as a Sports Information Intern. He earned a bachelor’s degree in communication with a minor in business administration from Saint Martin’s in 2019.
