Pete Moore

Pete Moore was named director of athletic communications at Syracuse University in August 2007.

Moore was hired as assistant director in 1998 and promoted to associate director in 2001. He is the primary media contact for men's basketball and women's soccer at Syracuse.

A past-president of the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) and an 11-year board member, Moore was inducted into the CoSIDA Hall of Fame in 1998 and earned the association’s Warren Berg Award one year later. He received the Arch Ward Memorial Award in 2021.

He is a past-president of the Eastern College Athletic Conference-Sports Information Directors Association (ECAC-SIDA), and served on its board for six years. In June 2001 he received the ECAC-SIDA Irving Marsh Award.

The sports information director at Ithaca College for 12 years (1986-98), Moore was inducted into the College's Sports Hall of Fame in 1995.

Moore graduated from Ashland College in 1981 and was the sports information director at Ashland for one year before a three-year stint at Kansas Newman College.

Moore, and his wife Catherine, reside in Baldwinsville, N.Y.
