Professional Bio
Roleson served as Interim Executive Director of College Sports Communicators from August 2024-March 2025, In that role, he provided strategic leadership for the association, coordinated corporate partnership sales, managed the full-time staff and was the primary liaison with the executive board of directors.
Roleson joined CSC following six years with the Horizon League office in Indianapolis, lastly as Associate Commissioner for Communications and Multimedia. At the HL, he started the first conference-wide video-streaming platform in 2005 – the Horizon League Network – while overseeing the communications team, serving as liaison to the League’s media partners and coordinating scheduling for men’s and women’s basketball. He was the local media coordinator for the NCAA Women's Final Four in 2005 and the Men's Final Four in 2006 and 2010. In addition, he was an at-large representative on the CoSIDA Board of Directors from 2006-09.
Previously, Roleson was sports information director at Kent State University from 1999-2004 after three years as assistant SID. In 2002, he was the media contact for KSU’s men’s basketball team that advanced to the Elite Eight of the NCAA Tournament. Among the student-athletes he promoted were future pro standouts Antonio Gates, James Harrison and Josh Cribbs. He also served as assistant editor at Host Communications Publishing in Lexington, Ky., from 1994-96 and sports information intern at the University of Wisconsin-Madison from 1993-94.
