Regina Bolin joins College Sports Communicators staff; additional committee appointments announced

Regina Bolin has been hired as director of creative services for College Sports Communicators. She begins her new role Tuesday, Sept. 8.

Bolin, a current CSC member with eight years of experience in communications and creative strategy across three NCAA divisions, emerged as the top candidate for the position following a nationwide search that attracted nearly 150 diverse applicants, according to CSC Executive Director Jason Yaman. She most recently served as director for social media and digital strategy at Kansas State University Athletics.

“We had an incredibly strong and deep pool of candidates for this position, which reinforced how important this role is and how much talent exists in our industry," Yaman said. "We’re thrilled to have Regina join the CSC team. Throughout the process, she stood out not only for her creative talents and experience, but also for her ideas, energy and understanding of the opportunity in front of us. We’re looking forward to what she’ll bring to CSC and to working with her as we continue to elevate our brand, tell the stories of our members and find new and creative ways to engage our CSC community.”

In her role with CSC, Bolin will be responsible for collaborating on strategic planning, development and execution of a comprehensive cross-platform content strategy for CSC’s year-round programming, the CSC Unite annual convention, and the Academic All-America® program.

At Kansas State, Bolin’s primary responsibilities included the production and management of K-State Athletics websites, mobile platforms and digital information strategies. She also provided social media coverage and content for home and road K-State athletics events throughout the year.

Prior to her time at KSU, the Kansas City, Missouri, native served at Division II Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls, Texas, as an assistant sports information director. She acted as the primary contact for multiple teams and managed social media for the Mustangs.

Bolin also spent time as athletics communications coordinator at Division III Goucher College in Baltimore, where she had numerous roles for the Gophers. 

She worked her way into the field by serving internships with the Kansas City Comets of the Major Arena Soccer League and at her alma mater, the University of Illinois Springfield, where she competed in 73 games as a four-year starter for the Prairie Stars' women's soccer team and served the last two years as captain. Bolin earned her bachelor of arts in business administration and marketing from UIS in 2019.

CSC announces additional committee leadership appointments

Following the announcement of new chairs and vice chairs for 2026-27 in May, additional vacancies have been filled, including:

1. Academic All-America Hall of Fame® Committee: Brett Marhanka of Wheaton College (IL) named vice chair.

2. Fred Stabley Sr. Writing Contest Committee: Ben Phlegar of Michigan State named vice chair. 

3. Scholarships Committee: Jeff Griesch of Nebraska named vice chair.
