Cal Adds Three Sports Information Staffers
College Sports Information Directors of America
The University of California Department of Athletics has named Kevin Klintworth associate athletic director for communications, Christina Teller assistant director of media relations and Kimberly Hoidal and Veronica White media relations assistants.
Klintworth spent the previous six years overseeing the media relations operations at San Diego State, most recently as associate athletic director. His previous positions in college athletics included serving as sports information director and assistant athletic director at Northern Arizona University and assistant sports information director at Kansas State University.
He is a native of Mannford, Okla., and a graduate of Oklahoma State University.
Teller is a Bay Area native and earned her degree at UCLA. She spent the past year completing work on her masters degree in education at Cal. Teller will serve as the publicist for the Golden Bears’ nationally prominent softball and women’s swimming and diving programs, along with working with the Cal football program.
Hoidal is a 2005 graduate of the University of Arizona, where she earned a degree in political science while working as an undergraduate with women’s golf and assisted with football in the Wildcat media relations office. She will work with the Cal field hockey, women’s gymnastics and men’s tennis programs at Cal, as well as providing support for the Bears’ football media operations.
White is a 2005 graduate of the University of Washington. She completed work on her degree in communications and served as a student assistant in the Huskies media relations office. White will publicize Cal men’s soccer, men’s gymnastics and women’s tennis. She will also provide support assistant athletic director Herb Benenson’s efforts regarding the Cal men’ s basketball program.
