District Winners Announced for the 2019-20 CoSIDA Stabley Writing Contest

The submissions are in.
The judging is in.
The results are in…at least the District ones are.
Phase 1 of the Fred Stabley Writing Contest is over, and the District winners (a total of 61) have been selected.
Seven categories are being considered in the 2019-20 Writing Contest:
- Athlete Profile
- Coach/Administrator Profile
- Event Coverage
- General Feature
- Blog/Interview
- Historical Feature
- Season Recap/Preview
A panel of 39 judges reviewed a total of 337 entries. There were ties in five of the categories, so all 61 finalists (8 regions x 7 categories + 5 = 61) will now be judged by the five-person national panel.
A list of all the 2019-20 Fred Stabley, Sr. Writing Contest district winners are detailed below, with links to each story provided. The national winners will be revealed next month.
