Having work in college and professional sports earlier in her career, Johnson understands the time demands, workload and compensation of athletic communicators. Her advice for SIDs was spot on. She took numerous questions from CoSIDA members and discussed how to work through your finances and set up financial strategies to offset the effects of CoVID-19, what to do in case you are laid off or furloughed, and offered steps in helping SIDs plan for the future in terms of retirement, educational planning for children, life insurance, short-term and long-term savings, erasing debts, and so much more.
