Designed for young professionals in college athletics, this webinar, hosted by the CSC Young Professionals Committee, explored how to identify the right career opportunities, how to build a strong foundation in the athletic communications industry and position yourself for that next opportunity.
The presenters discussed: the importance of aligning your personal values with an institution's culture and mission, and how to discover that prior to taking a position; what personal characteristics, work habits and approach to your position will get you recognized; the importance of being responsive and professional when dealing with fellow colleagues with requests, statistics/information sharing, event management, etc.; and the most effective ways to connect with peers who are also charting their paths in collegiate athletics.
