What is CSC? What is CSC U?
The CSCU Committee's webinar was geared toward those who are new in the athletic communications profession and/or who are graduate assistants, interns or student assistants. The CSC U committee and panelists discussed our College Sports Communicators (CSC) organization, our members, the CSC U Committee and the benefits of being part of our ever-growing membership. CSC is the professional organization for all those who are athletic/media relations contacts and the creative/digital athletic department members - and those exploring the profession.

- What is our College Sports Communicators organization and who are our members
- What is the CSC U program/what does it do
- Know the history: Evolution of the profession over time
- Key skills for the athletic communicator: writing tips, statistical work, working with the media, social/digital media and content
- Finding mentors and establishing first-job boundaries
- Attend team practices and building positive relationships with your coaching staffs and student-athletes
Note: This webinar was geared toward the audience of the CSC U Committee - new full-time and part-time athletic communications professionals and emerging professionals (undergraduate and graduate student assistants, graduate assistants, interns)
