Spinner Named Ass't AD at Mount Saint Vincent

Michael Spinner has been named the assistant athletics director for sports information at the College of Mount Saint Vincent in Riverdale, New York. While Spinner is a new face to the Sports Information Department, he is not new to the Mount Saint Vincent campus. Since November of 2002, he has worked as the head women’s lacrosse coach at Mount Saint Vincent on a part-time basis, and now comes to the Mount full-time for both the lacrosse program and to lead the Sports Information Department.
“I am thrilled to work for a department that is growing as fast as the athletics department at Mount Saint Vincent,” Spinner said. “As a Coach, it has been incredible to see the changes in this school during the last year and a half. I am looking forward to working here full-time and to be a part of what I think will be a very successful athletics program as a whole very quickly.”
Spinner, 27, comes to Mount Saint Vincent from World Wrestling Entertainment, Inc. in Stamford, Conn., where he worked as content editor in the Global Media Department for the last two years. Prior to that post, Spinner was the managing eitor of the former 360Lacrosse.com, a Web site owened and operated by Street & Smith’s Publishing. Spinner also works as a senior columnist for e- lacrosse.com and a staff reporter for Lacrosse Magazine.
While working in the Communications world, Spinner – a 1999 graduate of Pace University – has also been a successful lacrosse coach, with coaching stints at the high school ranks as well as at Manhattanville College, Salisbury University and Quinnipiac University prior to beginning the women’s lacrosse program at Mount Saint Vincent.
