Winter 2021 CoSIDA 360 Magazine Available Now In Digital Format Only
College Sports Information Directors of America
The Winter 2021 issue of CoSIDA 360 Magazine is now available in digital format only. Hard copies of this issue will not be available. Click here to view the issue now.
In this issue, we tell the stories of how CoSIDA members have overcome during the pandemic of the past year to showcase their talent, versatility and creativity despite limited or no games, shrinking budgets and difficult circumstances.
Our cover story — Storytelling During a Pandemic — by Past President Rob Knox highlights the impressive ways our members have told the stories of their athletics departments and student-athletes. His stories are complemented by columns from Sarah Fetters — the Vandy SID who helped Sarah Fuller in her journey as the first woman to play in a Power 5 football game, David Kiefer — a repeat Stabley Writing contest winner who gives us his secrets, and Danielle Potts — who profiles a pair of members who have gone above and beyond in their duties during COVID-19.
One of our own — DeWayne Peevy who is now the Director of Athletics at DePaul — pens the Perspectives From Outside The Profession column entitled "Dream Big Dreams." Peevy says "there is no experience greater than the role of sports information or media relations director."
"Transformational" by Ali Paquette provides real life stories of creating opportunity and success for women in our industry.
There is so much more, and you'll want to read it all. View the digital version of the magazine's Spring 2021 issue at this link: https://publications.provationsgroupcdn.com/publications/2021_February_CoSIDA360_Digital/.
Note: Like everyone, CoSIDA has taken a hit to its budget over the past year. As a result, the Executive Board of Directors made a series of decisions in its December 2020 meeting regarding spending in 2021. Among those decisions was the direction to halt printing of the magazine. It’s our hope that we’ll go back to printed issues when it makes sense but, for now, please enjoy our magazine online.

About CoSIDA 360
The print and digital magazine was one of the new CoSIDA membership initiative undertaken during the 2015-16 academic year which included the January 26, 2016 launch of our CoSIDA mentorship program; new text messaging service; and CoSIDA After Hours social program, in addition to the CoSIDA Connect community. For budget reasons, the magazine will be in a digital only format for 2021.
CoSIDA 360's aim is to celebrate telling our members' stories, to educate our members, and to advocate for the profession and its professionals. The print magazine is mailed to every current CoSIDA member and also distributed to athletic directors, conference commissioners and external CoSIDA stakeholders. A new issue of the glossy stock magazine is released each February, May, August and November.
CoSIDA Director of Creative Services Beau White serves as editor and designer of CoSIDA 360 with assistance from board member and CoSIDA secretary Jeff Hodges, North Alabama Assistant Athletic Director/Communications; and CoSIDA staff members Doug Vance, Executive Director; Will Roleson, Associate Executive Director; Barb Kowal, Director of Professional Development & External Affairs; and Laurie Bollig, Director of Membership Engagement. CoSIDA thanks Provations Group of Lexington, Kentucky for its partnership in the production of CoSIDA 360.
