College Sports Information Directors of America

For those of you who may not have already heard, CoSIDA Hall of Famer Larry Smith (SID at Arkansas Tech from 1987-2005, SID at Arkansas-Monticello from 1961-1978) is in the hospital in Dallas, Texas, with a pretty severe case of pancreatitis. It is likely he will be in the hospital until mid-February.

They're really only going to be able to observe him for the next 4-6 weeks, at which point he'll undergo surgery and then go to the ICU, and recover from that point for another 2-3 weeks.
